The Department of Landscape Architecture is the development of the Parks Architecture Academy (AKAP) program, which was initiated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno and realized by Dr. H. Soemarno Sosroatmodjo (Governor of DKI at that time) through S.K. No. 012/DPRD-GR/62 dated October 1, 1963. In 1970 the AKAP-DCI was handed over to the Trisakti Foundation and changed its name to the Trisakti Gardening Architecture and Urban Planning Academy (AKAPP) and in 1973 Trisakti AKAPP became the Trisakti Gardening Architecture College (STAPI). ).
On March 18, 1977, the Faculty of Landscape Architecture was established with 1 (one) major, namely Landscape Architecture, and on February 18, 1985 it became FALTL. and starting in 1991, the status of “Registered” in the Landscape Architecture department/study program increased to “Acknowledged” by the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No.073/0/1991 dated February 21, 1991 and subsequently in 1993 the status was upgraded to ” Equated” with SK. Dikti No.494/Dikti/Kep/1993 dated August 16, 1993.
In its development, the Landscape Architecture Study Program, FALTL, Trisakti University has now been accredited B based on the Decree of the Higher Education Accreditation Board of the Ministry of National Education-RI, SK. BAN-PT SK 3935/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/X/2019, which will expire on October 16, 2024.
The existence of the Landscape Architecture Study Program, FALTL, Trisakti University is expected to become a center for landscape architecture education, and ensure the creation of sustainable development both in Indonesia and globally.
